When Shoei launched their GT-Air helmet a couple of years ago, we wondered: how are they ever going to improve this helmet should they launch its successor? Well; by making it more aerodynamic, better looking, preparing it for a Shoei SRL-02 communication system and improving the overall fit of the helmet. So there you go: if you liked the GT-Air, you will love the GT-Air II! It’s outer shell, constructed of AIM material (a mix of different layers of fiberglass and organic fibers), comes in 3 shell sizes to provide maximum comfort and minimum weight and dimensions. Shoei improved on the ventilation scheme of it’s flagship full face touring helmet by changing the exhaust vents on the rear: on the GT-Air you would find one central exhaust vent where the GT-Air II sports 2 exhaust vents to get rid of even more hot air.
